Vintage living room. Reminds me of my childhood friends' homes

Wood paneling, heavy box TVs that look like a piece of furniture (with clunky dials for VHF and UHF), bunny ear antennas and tchotchkes. :) The good old days! this sets were placed kitty-corner at the front left corner of the living room.

I remember when dentist chairs looked like this!

My childhood nightmare - the dentist. Equipment looks so primitive now--like a torture chamber. Still scared of the dentist because of this!

Keane big-eyed mod kids - we had this hanging in the play area of our basement forever

˚Washing Machine by Maytag My great grandmother still had one of these when I was a child. It was in a room off of the kitchen. My cousin said "it was better than the old one, because this one had the electric wringer" and I am talking 1970, lol.

My grandma used this type of washer when I was a kid. I remember wringing out clothes through that wringer on top! I remember when Mom got her first automatic washing machine!

Hugh Brannum (left), "Mr. Green Jeans" on the Captain Kangaroo show, was a vocalist, arranger, composer and actor. During his days with Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians, he used his childhood nickname, "Lumpy." The Captain, on the right, was played by Bob Keeshan, the original Clarabell the Clown on the Howdy Doody Show. Captain Kangaroo aired for nearly 30 years on CBS, from 1955 to 1984.
