'A cortado is an espresso (also known as "Pingo" or "Garoto") "cut" with a small amount of warm milk to reduce the acidity. The ratio of milk to coffee is between – It is popular in Spain and Portugal, as well as throughout Latin America.
So delicious with some warm skim milk and a touch of sugar. reminds me of cafe con leche in Spain!

In Spain "café cortado" is a (double) espresso with a little milk to reduce the acidity. It's my favourite way of preparing coffee and I can't function properly if I don't have one in the morning.
