BR Class 08 No 08064 (BR No 13079) - The British Rail (BR) Class 08 is a class of diesel-electric shunting locomotive. The Pioneer Class 08 No. D3000 (currently preserved at the Heritage Shunters Trust based at Peak Rail) was built in 1952 although it did not enter service until 1953. Production continued until 1962; 996 locomotives were produced, making it the most numerous of all British locomotive classes., The National Railway Museum, York

Diesel - Diesel is a BR Class 08 Over seventy members of this class survive today in preservation. They were in fact the most successful shunting engines in the world, with 996 of them built.

BR Class 55 "Deltic" No. D9002 (55002) "Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry" - was donated to the National Railway Museum, York and was the first preserved Deltic to return to the main line when it worked light engine to York after participating in the Doncaster Works Open Day on 27 February 1982. D9002 is one of three Deltics to have a mainline licence.

Brush Type 4 Co-Co diesel electric locomotive number D1733 in 1964 with British Rail's XP64 experimental passenger train. The train was made up of eight Mark 1 coaches, prototypes for the new Mark 2 carriage design. The loco was  painted in an experimental livery of turquoise blue and ivory with yellow warning panels on the front. The new British Rail double arrow symbol appeared on the cab sides. The Brush Type 4 locomotive later became known as the Class 47 and D1733 was renumbered 47853.

SR 2-Bil Unit, later BR Class 401 - Only one 2-BIL unit has survived into preservation, namely number 2090, formed of carriages 10656 and 12123, which is in the care of the National Railway Museum, York. This unit is also one of only two pre-war main line EMUs in existence.
