The original artwork for the design of Australia’s $10 banknote is all the more compelling. The note was issued in 1993 and designed by Max Robinson who was also responsible for the design of the $5 and $100 polymer notes. It illustrates in detail the challenges involved in reaching a harmonized resolution for a multi-layered image, and comprises sketches and drawings, collages, montages, mock-ups, overlays, photocopies, reproductions and finished artwork.
