After his death in 323 BCE, Alexander the Great became a popular model for many Greek deities - in this case Pan. Pan is identified by his goat like ears, horns; and since his legs are not shown, small goat hooves tied around his neck. A bronze Box Mirror with the head of Pan, 4th C. B.C.E. Greek. Lifting the ring below the hammered relief reveals a a highly polished bronze disk used as a mirror.
