Aside from the medieval castle, the park, the harbour and a few 16th century buildings the village consisted of farmhouses and a few blocks of functional and sober post WWII houses. 1924 - My mother and her sister as young girls, standing in the water of a lake, long before i was born. Coming from Amsterdam, a visit to the IJsselmeer was quite a trip in those days. I wonder whether they took the train, or bike and how the wheather was and what they were thinking, looking in the lens of the magical photocamera.
