Sandstone pyramidion of Hornefer: each face of this pyramidion is divided into two sections by a horizontal line of text consisting of an invocation by the workman Hornefer to Ra and other gods. The lower parts of three sides are further divided by a column of text in the middle of each containing a prayer by Hornefer. All representations are carved in sunk relief and all texts are incised. On one face the barque of Ra is depicted in the upper section.

EGYPT AMULET 2ND-1ST MILL.BCE ~   Faience amulet in the shape of an ankh, 25th dynasty to Late Period, about 700-500 BCE.The ankh (meaning "life") is combined with the was-sceptre, the djed pillar,the heh and the hieroglyph for "millions". It represents a wish, probably for the king, of "life,power and stability for millions of years".

They were called benbenet in the Ancient Egyptian language, which associated the pyramid as a whole with the sacred benben stone. During the New Kingdom, some private underground tombs were marked on the surface by small brick pyramids that terminated in pyramidia.
