The brand equity diamond is used to dimensionalize brands. It is a holistic  approach that incorporates both brand benefits (what the brand offers) and brand identity(who the brand is). Both are critical to develop as you build your brand in the marketplace.  The left side of the diamond displays brand benefits, which are both rational and emotional.The right side displays brand identity, which includes both what you do in the market (lower right) and the reputation you build (upper right)
