March-April 2013. Visit to the North East of England based in Bowes and then Durham. David Mach' sculpture was commissioned and created in 1997 to celebrate the rich railway heritage of Darlington. The Brick "Train" is a depiction of an LNER Class A4 steam engine made from 185,000 bricks. It can be seen near Morrison's supermarket on the A66 just outside Darlington.
