Saturn V rocket on it's way to the moon.  Here you can see the S-1C first stage sep.  The five F-1 engines provided a total of 7.5 million pounds of thrust with RP-1 (kerosene) as the fuel and LOX (liquid oxygen) as the oxidizer.  The streamers you can see coming from the second stage above are from the Ullage Motors firing.

As if soaring through the heavens, space shuttle Discovery launches through rolling clouds of smoke and steam, embarking on its final scheduled mission, STS-133, to the International Space Station. Liftoff from launch Pad 39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida occurred at 4:53 p.m. EST on Feb. 24, 2011.
