King Louis VIII "the Lion" of France. September 8 November My great grandfather. He was the son of King Philip II of France and Isabelle of Hainaut. He was married to Blanche of Castile and father to St. Louis XI King of France.

Hildegard Von Bingen, a Medieval abbess.  She is depicted here having a vision sent by God, a monk at her side to write her vision down.  Hildegard's Latin was actually quite bad; she spoke in her own language called Lingua Ignota (Unknown Tongue) and the monks translated her visions later.  She was also highly influential in European politics and an exceptionally skilled composer.
