GROWING FUNGI -textile design- By Patty van den Elshout

Faux fur got donated from Prada to the Design Academy Eindhoven. It reminded me of the textures that fungi create. After studying fungi, I translated it into handmade textile techniques like punch needling. I wanted to capture the beautiful colours, organic shapes, and textures that fungi have. So that it looks like the fungi are growing over the white fur.
