Richard Serra's "Circuit II" is suffocating and liberating at the same time. To me, it evokes the paranoid culture of digital surveillance in the century. But the chiasmic (X-shaped) pattern is also glorious.
The project was inspired by human perception of reality. It focuses on the visceral qualities of empirical experience, which are expressed through biological illusion prints and large, modular knit structures that invert our bodily image.
