Born in 1945, Philip Travers studied art and design at the Sutton School of Art and the London School of Printing. After college he spent several years working as a designer and illustrator in studios in the London area. It was at this time that he became associated with the Internationally renowned group The Moody Blues, for whom he produced record  sleeves in the late 1960s and early `70s.
