"Trail Marker Tree" in Indian Tomb Hollow. Native Americans partially cut young trees a couple of feet off the ground and then again to bend the tree into this shape to indicate a turn in the trail they took. See how the tree is bent to the right and then bent up again....this indicates to follow the trail to the right. They sure were smart doing this.
