10 juli: St. Amalberga van Maubeuge (overleden 690), gravin, moeder van drie heilig verklaarde kinderen (onder wie St. Goedele van Brussel). Ging als weduwe naar het klooster van Maubeuge, waar zij abdis werd. Haar relieken zijn later overgebracht naar Lobbes, België. Niet te verwarren met St. Amalberga van Temse (ook: van Munsterbilzen, tevens feestdag op 10 juli), die op rug van een vis de Schelde overstak, op de vlucht voor Karel Martel, zoon van Pepijn van Landen.
