Are you looking for a fun and inexpensive way to add decoration to your dorm room?  I found this awesome twist on everyone’s favorite DIY craft — melted crayons!   Since we're all under the constraints of a strict college student's budget, this project is perfect.  All you need is a box of crayons, a canvas, a fork and a hair dryer.

Put crayons in a clear crystal ball. Put on your blow dryer & twirl to distribute the colors.....neat idea!!!!

The kids will love this one! -Cyn Put a piece of crayon in a clear glass bulb ornament. Use a blow dryer to melt the crayon and rotate the bulb to distribute the color. Multiple crayon colors gives the swirled appearance.

draw a picture with white crayon on white paper and then watercolor over it. love this idea! Can use any color crayon. It will resist the watercolor. Be sure to lay down a thick line with the crayon.

Gets really hot while melting crayons, so adults need to do that part. Really cute on the Christmas tree though!

Melted crayon ornaments - put crayon shavings inside a glass ornament and melt using a hair dryer

1. cut cardboard into desired letters. 2. Tape / glue on letters on paper. 3. Tape / glue crayons on top of paper. 4. Use blow dryer on crayons until they melt. 5. After desired results, take off cardboard cut outs. 6. Have fun! :)

Use duct tape for words. Place crayons on top. Blow dry on high heat till crayons melt. Blow dry side to side to blend colors. Slowly remove duct tape to reveal words. I've seen the crayon thing before, but love the duct tape idea!
