(1) FABERGE eggs__Imperial PELICAN Presented to Empress Maria in 1898, the Pelican Egg uses a folding screen to reveal eight miniatures relating to the Empress’s charity.
Picture frame by Carl Fabergé, workmaster: Karl Gustav Hjalmar Armfelt, 1904–8, in nephrite, silver mounts, with photos of the Imperial family of Nicholas II
Faberge firescreen. This is a superb example of the goldsmith’s art. It was created by Henrik Wigström around 1910. One side contains a photograph of Emperor Nicholas II and the other of his Empress, Alexandra Feodorovna. The gold and platinum frame is enamelled white and seed pearls are set round the oval bezels. The whole is embellished with floral swags in multi-coloured gold. It is a stunning piece.
28 (1903) Het Peter de Grote ei. Goud, diamanten, robijnen, ivoor en email. De surprise is een miniatuur van het standbeeld van Peter de Grote in St. Petersburg.
