A small amount of the Romanov jewels confiscated by the Bolsheviks.When the Romanov family was murdered, the  Grand Duchesses had sewn jewels into their corsets. The bullets fired at them bounced off of their corsets, so the girls were bayoneted to death. Possibly the executioners of the family kept these jewels. Reportedly, Vladimir Lenin sold some to raise hard currency for his government.
