This 1904 foursquare had a covered walkway that we enclosed to create a new kitchen oriented towards the back of the house, and to create space to add a bathroom. The palette prioritized materials that will patina, such as soapstone countertops and unlacquered brass, and will add to the historic nature of the home. Photographed by Marshall Steeves.
