This Flower Basket brooch was given to Queen Elizabeth by her parents in November 1948 to commemorate the birth of Prince Charles. The brooch features a large ruby, diamonds in flower sprays with a ruby, and sapphire and diamond petals in a basket design. However, what is likely MORE valauble than the brooch is the illuminated manuscript in which she is pointing and the authors here fail to point this out. . .
