1971 Nicholas & Alexandra...I guess you could call this a double biography. It is an extremely sad story in the end. Nicholas was the last tsar of Russia and fell at about the end of WWI. This is a totally fascinating, true story!

I've also got a thing for Russian history, especially the last Czar and his family...this is just one of many great books about them.

Catherine the Great: Portrait of a Woman by Robert K. Massie

Elizabeth the Queen: The Life of a Modern Monarch by Sally Bedell Smith. In this magisterial new biography, New York Times bestselling author Sally Bedell Smith brings to life one of the world’s most fascinating and enigmatic women: Queen Elizabeth II.

Terrific book! Nicholas and Alexandra had one of the few "love match" royal marriages during that day and age. I love reading biographies, because I learn so much history from them.

A dual biography of the last royal family of Russia; an extremely interesting read.
