These are not stenciled and there is no vinyl. Hardware is attached for hanging or you can use it on a mantle, side table or buffet. It has a heavily distressed white background for a rustic feel, and is lettered in charcoal grey. This sign is made for a rustic feel. If you would like a walnut stain and white lettering, you can make your choice at checkout. (Photo 2) I hand letter every sign, I do not use computer fonts, stencils, carbon paper, or vinyl. Each piece of wood is different. The finish *may* vary slightly in shade from what is pictured.
