Curator's Notes
The spalted wood wall hanging mirror by RetRe is a standout addition to the home with it’s unique use of recycled wood. Considered damaged to some, designer Yamazaki Yoshiki has transformed Japanese oak that’s been naturally weathered, discoloured and insect-bored, into everyday useful objects. The grooved channels, small holes and winding dark striations are highlighted by the sophisticated design of this one-of-a-kind mirror.
