The edges of the backing fabric have been zigzagged to prevent raveling. Every summer, my husband and I spend time in Grand Marais, Minnesota where I teach rug hooking classes at North House Folk School. My classroom is right on the shore of Lake Superior and in the distant West, I can see the tops of the Sawtooth Mountains.
