This camel-brown wool set pairs a handsome jacket with a classic, loose-cut '60s sheath dress. The dress features dark cocoa braided trim around the crew neckline and sleeve openings. The jacket has a rounded lapel, high-quality domed wooden buttons, and thoughtful elbow pleats. Both pieces feature dark-brown contrast stitching and near-identical curved front panels that shape the bust and midsection. Both are lined, but in slightly different materials: a butter-colored acetate (probably) for the jacket, and a smooth golden broadcloth on the dress (which feels like poly-cotton). The dress has a zippered back closure (metal teeth, branded Coats & Clark). Excellent vintage condition. Jacket is in nearly flawless shape. On the dress, we also touched up the stitching on the neck binding, an underarm, and both shoulder seams (not visible). The skirt portion has four or five faint light spots, roughly between the size of a quarter and half dollar (examples pictured). Not particularly visible except in direct light. Strangely, the hem isn't turned under: instead, it's finished with two lines of straight stitching. As a result, there's a bit of very light below the stitches (pictured; it seems the dress was designed this way, since there are no creases or needle marks to indicate that the hem was ever turned under). Faint odor of cigarettes from some long-ago club night or house party; if that bothers you, you may want to have it dry-cleaned. No branding or fiber content labeling. The shell is wool (we believe it's 100% based on a burn test). The jacket lining is most likely acetate, and the dress lining feels like poly-cotton (we can test them for you if desired). No marked size, so please see the following measurements to ensure an accurate fit. ~Jacket Bust: up to about 39" Shoulder: 16.5" Sleeve: 22" Length: 23" ~Dress Bust: 36" Waist: 34" Hip: 37" Length: 40"
