Lanterns // Lantaarns
[ ENG ] In the Japanese culture the use of Washi (paper) is a century old concept. The extraordinary quality of the material is that it reduces the vibration of light and simultaneously the movement of the eye. Due to the soft and comforting appearance of the light the Japanese describe the use of Washi as “the Moon in the house”. De facetted shape is derived from the first traditional hexagonal Japanese Lantern’s.
