This is Okurut Silverster Noah. He is an orphan who lost one of his parents in 2002 when he was in primary two. His father died suddenly that shocked him although he was young. Okurut is currently staying with his mother who also because of her bad health has been getting sick from time to time. His mother struggles to get what they eat and his education has been off and on. However, trusting God has always given Okurut hope in his education. Well-wishers who are his mother’s friends have been of great support for his education so much so that they supported him to reach senior four. Okurut began to have an education challenge in senior five, senior six and now at the course level. OCONE charity working in Bukedea recruited him in their program and was able to give him writing materials but fees remain big issues for him. One good person came in and helped him complete senior six. Okurut is now in his first year the second semester at Kyambongo University pursuing Diploma in finance and accounting. His ambition after this course is to set up Accounting and Bookkeeping Project to offer training to rural women to become financially literate. He is still trusting God for His provision to help him complete this course successfully. He never gets frustrated even when things go bad for him. He is always encouraged and strengthened when he thinks of how he has reached that level of education and this gives him hope and determination.
