Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, the sixth Duke of Westminster, is currently the UK’s wealthiest landowner, with a fortune that places him at number 78 on the world’s rich list. He was born in 1951 to Robert George Grosvenor, 5th Duke of Westminster, and his wife Hon. Viola Maud Lyttelton and grew up on an island in the middle of Lough Erne. He was educated in Northern Ireland during the early years, then attended Sunningdale School and Harrow School.

In 2011, he became Deputy Commander Army Reserves and he recently bought a multimillion-pound country home in Nottinghamshire, which he plans to convert to create a rehab centre for wounded soldiers
