22M views · 76K reactions | "Scallop" Potatoes | This fun take on scalloped potatoes is so delicious you’ll want to tell all your friends about it 📣 Thanks, MyRecipes! GET THE RECIPE:... | By Allrecipes | - [Nicole] Check this out. - [Josh] What are those? Oh my goodness, are those scallops? - [Nicole] Those are scallop potatoes. And you'll see why when I'm finished. First step, of course, peel the potatoes. We're gonna cut off the ends. You're gonna just cut them like this. But we're gonna need some more potatoes. Watch this. (finger snap) - [Josh] Uh, that's a cocktail. - [Nicole] Oh yeah, I needed that anyway. But for real this time. (finger snaps) I'm gonna make sure they're nice and dry. Season up with a little bit of Kosher salt. Time to hit the pan. Start with a cast iron skillet, butter for flavor, and the oil to let us get it nice and hot. This dish is a little time consuming, but I'm telling you, it's gonna be so worth it. I'm going in with my potatoes. We're gonna go eight minutes, just like this, until they're nice and golden brown on the other side. For extra flavor, we're gonna baste the tops of these potatoes. All right I think it's time to flip. - [Josh] Flip 'em. - [Nicole] Woo hoo hoo. Look at that browning, it looks just like a seared scallop. We're going another eight minutes. Gonna give these another basting. - [Josh] Ooo, those are looking delish. - [Nicole] Now that we have a good sear on both sides, we're just gonna move these to the side while we create a sauce in the pan. - [Josh] There's a sauce you say? - [Nicole] I mean Josh, what's scallop potatoes without a creamy, indulgent sauce? - [Josh] Just potatoes I guess. - [Nicole] Just boring I guess. First we're doing onion, fresh thyme, and garlic. Okay now we're gonna create a little roux in the pan by adding a little bit of flour. But I'm about to add some cream. Look at that. We're gonna bring this to a simmer and let it thicken slightly. You know we're gonna add our yummy cheese. - [Josh] What kind of cheese? - [Nicole] Gruyere. - [Josh] Gruyere. - [Nicole] I'm gonna put these potatoes back into this Gruyere bath. I'm gonna cover these with foil, bake them at 375 for 45 minutes until they're perfectly tender. Say hello to my little friends. - [Josh] Oh my goodness. - [Nicole] Y'all, look at that. Let's make sure the potatoes are nice and tender. Woo hoo hoo, oh yeah. Okay I'm gonna crack some fresh black pepper over the top and to make them a little healthier, fresh chives. Oh my gosh, that looks so good check this out. Here it comes. Oh yeah, I did it, those are scallop potatoes. - [Josh] Nicole that looks so good. - [Nicole] Yum. I can't wait any longer. I've never seen anything like this. Oh my gosh. Perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, creamy, savory, and absolutely amazing. You can fix your own plate.

How to Make the Best Lasagna | You Can Cook That with Nicole | Allrecipes | Let Nicole show you the easiest, most delicious lasagna you've ever had in your life. If you've been looking for the best lasagna, look no more. GET THE... | By Allrecipes | NICOLE MCLAUGHLIN: Worth the time. Worth the effort. You've never had lasagna like this before. What makes my lasagna so special is that I combine some authentic flavors and techniques that I learned from my neighbor, who's from Rome, and I put those with the traditional flavors that you're used to. I'm going to start by making the sauce. My sauce is very hearty, it combines ground beef with Italian sausage. When it comes to the sauce, you can make this, like, three days in advance if you want, it's fine. And that will be a huge time saver when it comes to building your lasagna. Once our meat is all cooked and the flavors are all good together with the onions and garlic, we drain that. And now, we add everything else. I'm using a combination of crushed tomatoes, and a little tomato paste to kind of thicken it up, and a couple other things. While the sauce is going, I'm going to get the noodles going. I like to use just the old school classic lasagna noodle. But I do cook it underdone, because it's going to finish cooking and absorb the flavors of the lasagna in the oven. So I go about four or five minutes in salted. Water. Now, for the creamy layer. This is where my neighbor, who is from Rome, taught me something magical. Now, when we made the lasagna with her, we made the noodles from scratch, the sauce from straight tomatoes, and this component, which is a béchamel. I really loved the creamy, like, heavenly way it felt with béchamel. So I like to do a béchamel sauce. But I do stir in some ricotta there, because my dad wouldn't have it any other way. So mine's kind of a combination of my dad's way and my neighbor's way. The sauce is simmered. We turn off the heat and stir in a big handful of chopped parsley and basil. The parsley really just brings out the freshness. And the basil, because it's lasagna. Now, the easy part is layering our lasagna. In we go with a little bit of sauce to coat the bottom. One layer of noodles. Now, we're going to put about a 1/3 of the sauce that's left in. Because these ingredients are still so warm, this is not going to take long to bake at all. Now, we're going to do half of our béchamel. Ricotta sauce, going in. To thicken this layer up a little bit, I'm going to go ahead and add in some mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. And, do it all again. If you have a smaller pan and you want to layer this four times, then you would just use a 1/3 of your béchamel instead of a half. After your last layer of noodles, then you're just going to add sauce and shredded cheese. And then, it'll be ready for the oven. That's it, I'm getting excited. We're going to bake this covered at 375 for about 40 minutes or so. And then, uncover it and continue baking until it's bubbly, golden, and ready to eat. Perfection. Smells like Sunday. Now, very important, you have to let it stand for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Everything comes together, and then when you cut into it, it won't be just a blob of slush. You want it to kind of, you know, stay together. So we need it to come back together for about 10 to 15 minutes, and then we'll cut into it. I'm literally salivating. Look at this bite, also known as the perfect bite. Worth the time. Worth the effort. You've never had lasagna like this before. Please try it and let me know what you think. When it comes to making classic lasagna, you can cook that. [BEEP] Mangia. [MUSIC PLAYING]

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees F). 2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage pieces and cook until browned on both sides and heated throughout according to package direction, about 3 minutes. Set aside while eggs are prepared. 3. Add 4 eggs to a medium bowl and whisk together with water, salt, and pepper until well mixed. Melt butter a small nonstick skillet set over medium low heat. Add eggs and cook until they are soft scrambled, stirring often until barely set and creamy. 4. Unfold 1 pastry sheet onto a lightly floured surface and roll out slightly up and down. Place about 1 tablespoons of scrambled eggs onto the pastry sheet 3 across and 4 going down. Divide cheese among the 12 egg portions and top each with a piece of sausage. Lightly brush water around the edges and in between each row of mixture. 5. Roll out the second pastry sheet slightly larger than the first one and loosely place on top. Work the pastry down to seal over each sausage and egg portion and then cut the stuffed pastry into squares using a pizza cutter or knife. Press each square around the edges to make sure they are sealed. Place squares on a parchment lined baking sheet. Lightly beat the remaining egg, brush each square lightly with the beaten egg and sprinkle them evenly with bagel seasoning. 6. Bake in the preheated oven until puffed and golden brown, 15 to 18 minutes. #sausage #egg #cheese #breakfast #breakfastpasteries #breakfastfoods #bites #quickandeasy #mealprep #makeahead #homecook #puffpastry #breakfastideas #easyrecipes #alldelishes #mealprepbreakfast #highprotein #eggbake | All Delishes | All Delishes · Original audio

How to Make One Pot Lemon Chicken Orzo | How to Make One Pot Lemon Chicken Orzo | This creamy and hearty One Pot Lemon Chicken Orzo is the dish of dreams. Nicole would agree that it’s the... | By Alldelishes II | Everyone's always like, what's your favorite thing to cook and I can never nail that down but I always say a one-pot meal and that's what we're making today. One pot, lemon, chicken, orzo. A, because it's easy and easy clean up but B because all the flavors just kind of build as you go. A lot of times, one-pot meals can be finished in the oven so always choose something that's also oven safe. Start by heating up some olive oil in the skillet, alright? And like almost everyone of my dishes, we start with onion. You want to cook your onion until it's soft and then I'll go in with my garlic. The thing about one pot cooking is it's really all about the method and once you nail that down, you can switch out ingredients however you want. Play around, get creative in the kitchen and then, I'm stirring in my orzo. You want to coat all of those orzo grains with that oil. This will lightly kind of toast the grains but it really just keeps it separated and keeps it from clumping while it cooks and then your third step is to stir in your liquids. So, I'm doing a combination of chicken broth and heavy cream. This is going to be indulgent. Just saying and the lemon tart, I'm going to add in a bunch of lemon zest and some lemon juice. Alright, then you're just going to bring this to a simmer. You want to stir it occasionally so nothing sticks to the bottom and then this is just going to cook until the orzo absorbs that liquid and it gets nice, thick, and creamy. I'm going to go ahead and season in the middle of cooking 'cuz I like to give it time to absorb all those flavors. Just before it's almost done is when you want to do your add-ins which is your next step. So, for this, it is just some cooked chicken. This is the perfect time to use any leftover or rotisserie chicken and some spinach. And then all you have to do is cook that until everything is warmed through. Look how good that looks and then your final step is just to put the finishing touches on. So for me, it's going to be some cheese. I've turned off the heat because I don't want it to cook or stick anymore. I'm going in with some fontina, some parmesan, little salt and pepper. How easy was that? Let's dish it up. I'm going to finish it off with a little chopped parsley and a little more cracked pepper. That's a hearty serving. Fresh grated parm and I love lemon so I'm going in with more lemon zest, black pepper. Wish I could smell it. Oh my god. This is so comforting and cozy but bright and fresh at the same time. It's definitely indulgent but I'm telling you, this is a perfect dinner that is easy enough for a weeknight but awesome enough for company. You've gotta make this recipe or at least try out that one-pot method and let me know what creations you come up with. It is really good.
