Chromatic Coordinates
In a month tied to pink, we’ve chosen to tell a curiosity linked to this color. Today's coordinates take us back to the 1970s, a time when Norway's thriving salmon industry found a new cause: partnering with Japan to reimagine sushi. Thus began the improbable conjunction that secured salmon not just as a taste icon but as an aesthetic one andspawned a color inseparable from modern food tradition. Scroll to see how the rich shades of this tale were colored with innovation and cultural exchange.
International Klein Blue
Some colors mark a turning point in art history. International Klein Blue (IKB), created by Yves Klein in 1956, is one of them. Developed by mixing ultramarine pigment with synthetic resin, IKB was more than a color it became a concept, a way to express the immaterial. Klein used IKB to push the boundaries of artistic performance: from monochromatic canvases to live exhibitions where models' bodies became living paintbrushes. The result? An intense, hypnotic blue that resonated beyond the canvas, symbolizing freedom from material constraints. Today, IKB remains a symbol of artistic innovation and continues to inspire contemporary creators across disciplines. Scroll through the carousel to dive into its story. Happy reading!

To all Sicer Turkey employees goes our wish for a happy Independence Day!
