Landlocked states of the USA including the double-landlocked states and the one triple-landlocked state, Nebraska
Landlocked States
Looking at the US, we find 27 States are landlocked—you need to pass through another state or country to reach the ocean. More interesting, though, is that 10 of those states are double-landlocked: to reach the coast, they must first cross a state that is itself landlocked. And then there's Nebraska, the only triple-landlocked state. To reach the ocean from Nebraska, you need to pass through: 1. A double-landlocked state 2. A singly landlocked state 3. A coastal state or country

A world of 4 income levels
A world of 4 income levels I grew up with the idea that there are developed countries and developing countries, the “rich” world and the “poor” world. I didn’t actively consider this teaching. It’s just always been there. And it’s wrong. You can find this sketch, lovingly polished, in the book Big Ideas Little Pictures. https://sketchplanations.com/big-ideas-little-pictures
