An ancient fortress by the Mediterranean Sea once home to a Roman Emperor, Split’s Diocletian Palace is a mighty sight. As my suitcase wheels struggled over the stone streets it was quickly obvious just how worn and trodden they were.
The cliff side bar pictured has awesome views, and is one of the lovliest places in the world to have a drink. Also, the cliffs in Dubrovnik are a great place to go swimming in the crystal clear water!
The Rector´s Palace, old town Dubrovnick, Croatia. The Rectors Palace, was the administrative center of the Dubrovnik Republic. Its style is basically Gothic, with Renaissance and Baroque reconstructions.
