Salvador Dali: The Temptation of St. Anthony (1946). He used oil on canvas for this piece. He painted this peice in the studio in new York. This particular painting Salvador Dali entered into a contest; it was the first and only time he did this. It was an invitational competition for a painting on the theme of the temptation of Saint Anthony, organized in 1946 by the Loew Lewin Company. The winning picture was to be featured in a film. The prize was given to Max Ernst.
