Paris World Exhibition 1925 – A Swedish breakthrough Sweden’s international breakthrough in design and architecture came with its participation at the Paris World Exhibition in 1925. Sweden gained a worldwide reputation in design and architecture, and the most important and acclaimed furniture in the Swedish pavilion was an exclusive set of furniture for the reception hall, including the gilded cabinet and small armchairs designed by Carl Hörvik.
