Developing the Bail
Train bails safely with this great progression! Use an Air Barrel, Half Round and Floor Bar to drill the one arm drop technique while maintaining a tight core. Create a slanted wall using an Air Floor, Carpet Overlay and Half Round, providing the athlete with a comfortable surface to master the feel of the skill.
Front Ariel on Beam Drill
Use this drill to help athletes to feel the body positions during a front aerial on beam! 🔥 Placing the Smart Wedges on either side of a Laser Beam enables the athlete to support themselves on their arms while moving through the tight arch at the end of the skill as they find their foot placement.
Best Darn Gymnastics on Instagram: "Strengthening the posterior chain! We decided to try some toe hand extension work using a theraband and the Mountain Bar System from @tumbltrak and @wargo.brett . The band providing resistance to the extension hits the hamstrings and glutes throughout the exercise. The gymnast will feel it immediately and you can tell which of your athletes needs to really work these muscles a bit more in their conditioning program. This also helps the gymnast feel their muscles and body working together better within the actual toe hand extension. The drill simulates enough of the real skill that your athletes should correlate the two fairly well. We hope this helps you and your athletes create their Best Darn Gymnastics! #bestdarngymnastics #gymnasticsdrills #
