"You are Peter, and on this Rock *I* will build MY Church." The Church as the Body of Christ is always visible, and the successor of St. Peter is still at the very least a priest and a pastor, chosen by Christ, but who possesses the fullness of the priesthood. The Church isn't "ours"; it belongs to Christ, and it exists for Christ's sake. And it is He who builds it through the Sacraments, wherein our lives are being sanctified and conformed to Him. We also are no Church without Him.
