I Stink! (Kate and Jim Mcmullan)
My summer camp kiddos loved this book, they thought it was so funny, I really enjoyed reading it to them. In addition to silly fun, this book is great for literacy development because it both includes the ABCs of trash, but it is filled with very rhythmic rhymes. I also love that it encourages kids to be conscious of what happens to their trash.
Albert the Fix-It Man
Albert is always on the look-out for things to fix, he's a DIY master and his careful eye for detail helps him see a world full of possibilities... this story is also great for teaching the values of community because when Albert gets sick, all the townspeople rush to help the man who has done so much to help them. Love this story.
