Jellyfish From Trash Liners
I and the children LOVE these AMAZING trash liner jellyfish. So simple, and yet such an amazing addition to our OCEAN/SEA theme. I have added a Youtube tutorial at the bottom. To make these I used two 10 gallon commercial trashcan liners, the ones for small office trash cans, at a cost of about 5 cents and about 10 minutes of time each. #1 The first liner is opened up, four "corners" [just grab the edge about every 1/4 around] brought together and stapled, then stuffed down into the center…

Day One: We start by wetting the backside of a paper bowl with water.. then use liquid watercolors to "tye-dye" the surface (wet-on-wet technique). Next each student colors (or "scribble-scrabbles) a coffee filter with washable markers (I only gave them primary colors)…
Jellyfish Art & Write
My son’s fascination with jellies hasn’t waned since we did our first jellyfish activity (check out the awesome tunnel book we made here). When I picked up Bob Barner’s book Fish Wish at the library for our youngest boy, I marveled at the amazing art – especially the two pages full of floating jellyfish. Barner’s book was the inspiration for this art project. Supplies 1 sheet of thin white gift wrap tissue paper (or perhaps used dryer sheets?) 1 piece of blue paper Grey yarn Glue stick…
